Becoming Our Client
Once you make the decision that you want to speak with our experienced attorney, we ask that you complete the "contact us" form found on this webpage. Please make sure that you give us a telephone number and/or email address where you may be contacted, without fear of retribution, and the name of your spouse or other opposing party in your case. Once we receive your initial contact form and perform a conflict check, our paralegals will contact you to get more information and discuss our consultation procedures. Then, we will send you our intake form and ask that you complete this document and forward it to us at least twenty-four (24) hours before your appointment if possible. This will ensure that Ms. James is prepared for your consultation. Ms. James will spend between one and two hours with you reviewing your situation and giving you your options for moving forward. Because we put so much time and preparation into our consultations and because such a thorough consultation with you will prevent us from representing other parties in your case, we do require a consultation fee of $200. This fee is due at least twenty-four hours prior to your consultation and maybe paid in cash, money order, credit card, or debit card. When you choose to retain us, this fee is credited toward your retainer. Therefore, if the retainer fee in your case is $2,500, you will owe $2,300 because you have paid your consultation fee in advance.
